A short guide for those considering beginning therapy
Many people feel uncertain when starting therapy. It can be difficult to know where to begin, or how to recognise what feels right.
Training and experience matter. But so does something less tangible: how it feels to sit with someone and speak openly.
Whether you are looking for an English-speaking psychotherapist in Berlin or online therapy, finding the right fit makes a difference. Not only in whether the work feels containing, but in whether it becomes meaningful and sustainable over time.
I offer a brief introductory call so you can get a sense of how I work, ask practical questions, and decide whether this feels like the right next step.
Taking time to choose is part of the work itself.
One-to-one psychotherapy in English, offering a thoughtful space to explore emotional patterns, relationships, and inner experience.
Therapy for couples focused on exploring recurring dynamics, communication patterns, and emotional connection.
Online psychotherapy in English for international clients and expatriates, offering the same depth, continuity, and therapeutic presence wherever you are.
Executive function coaching for neurodivergent people, including ADHD or ASD, combining practical structure with therapeutic insight.
English-speaking therapy with me is not about quick fixes. I work in a psychodynamic and attachment-based way, paying attention to patterns in relationships, emotional life, and the ways we learn to cope. Where it genuinely supports the work, I may also draw on practical coaching skills.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms or immediate relief, I’m interested in understanding what has shaped these patterns and how they continue to influence your experience. Over time, this allows change to develop with more stability, depth, and meaning.
The therapeutic relationship itself is central to how I work. Sessions offer a thoughtful, reflective space where we can think together, speak openly, and stay with what is not yet clear, without pressure to resolve everything quickly. My role is not to advise or optimise, but to think alongside you as the work unfolds.
Develop more stable, grounded relationships by understanding your attachment patterns and the ways they shape closeness and distance.
Move beyond self-criticism towards a steadier sense of self-worth and confidence that doesn’t depend on constant performance.
Learn to recognise and work with strong emotions without being overwhelmed or driven by reactive cycles.
